October marks Black History Month in the UK and Black Achievement Month (BAM) in the Netherlands. During this month we recognise and celebrate the contributions and achievements that Black people have contributed to society in art, music, science and lots more over many generations. 

The theme for Black History Month UK 2025 is “Standing Firm in Power and Pride,” highlighting the resilience and contributions of the Black community. In the Netherlands, BAM is celebrating Black Excellence.
